If the user opens another window and then closes both of them, the process quits. But if the user closes the first window without opening others, the process keeps running and there's no way of quitting it short of killing.

Oisin, you can run it with -background, but it'll crash because you don't have the hook dll. and if you had it, you wouldn't like it, because every UI process would crash the moment you closed bgshell ;) and there is no way of attaching scripts to keystrokes yet, either

I was wondering how to do that - I gave up looking for the feature. Now I see it's not in it. It's all making sense now. ;-)

i'm not sure whether this will be possible. i plan to add file editing support, like GPowerShell has, and I plan to use c-pgup and c-pgdn for switching between files
